Q: How much are tickets?
A: Tickets may be purchased for one (1) for $25, five (5) tickets for $100, or fifty (50) tickets for $500.
Q: How many tickets can I buy?
A: Tickets sold are limited to a maximum of 999 transactions per entry. If you want to buy more than 999 transactions, you will need to make additional transactions on the website.
Q: How do I purchase tickets?
A: Tickets may be purchased vegasnewhomeraffle.com.
Q: What are the taxes on the home or cash prize, and what do I have to do if I win it?
A: The taxes on the home are the responsibility of the winner. The IRS requires that taxes on prizes valued greater than $5,000 must be paid upon acceptance and before Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada may deliver the prize to the winner. Winners are encouraged to consult a tax professional.
Q: Who is eligible to reserve tickets and win?
A: To be eligible to purchase tickets and win any prize, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older as of the date of entry, physically located in the State of Nevada when the ticket is purchased and a living resident of the United States. Please refer to the section title “eligibility” under Rules and Regulations.
Q: What if I don’t like or am unable to accept the home prize? Is there a cash alternative?
A: The winner may elect to accept ownership of The Crimson Collection by Touchstone Living home in Watercolor Planned Community (2870 Heritage Court, North Las Vegas, NV 89086) 1,352 Sq Ft. – 3 bedroom – 2.5 Bathrooms – 2 Car Garage OR a cash prize of $250,000 providing $500,000 or more of total ticket sales have been reached. If total ticket sales are between $100,000 and $499,999, then the house will not be given away and the winner will receive a cash prize of $100,000. If total ticket sales are less than $99,999 or less, then the winner will receive 50% of the total ticket sales as their cash prize. Any required tax withholding amounts will be withheld by the Sponsor from the total prize amount. The winner is strongly urged to seek professional legal and accounting advice on the tax effects of election as to the respective choices.
Q: How do I know if I won?
A: Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada will notify the winner on the day of the giveaway. We will also notify the winner in writing by sending a Winner Notification Agreement (“WNA”) by secure electronic communication or certified U.S. mail, return receipt requested, to the email and/or mailing address provided by the ticket purchaser. Each winner must accept the prize, “as is,” by signing and returning the WNA within ten (10) days of receipt.
Q: May I claim my ticket as a tax deduction?
A: The IRS has ruled that a payment for a raffle ticket is a tax-deductible charitable contribution only to the extent the amount of the payment exceeds the price of the ticket, therefore purchases of tickets in this Charitable Raffle are not tax-deductible.
Q: How much of the proceeds actually go to Meals on Wheels Southern Nevada sponsored by Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada?
A: All the proceeds go directly to Meals on Wheels Southern Nevada and its mission: Enabling low-income, homebound seniors to live healthier, more independent lives in their own homes, where they want to be.
Q: What are the ticket purchase deadline and drawing dates?
A: Tickets must be purchased by 11:59pm PST on July 31, 2025. The drawing will be held on 8/1/2025.
Q: Where is the home located?
A: The home is located in Watercolor Planned Community by Touchstone Living and is part of The Crimson Collection. The address is 2870 Heritage Court, North Las Vegas, NV 89086.
Q: What are the odds of winning?
A: The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. All tickets have an equal chance to win the prize.
Technical FAQ
Q. Why does the online raffle site require my location and/or why am I receiving the following prompt: "vegasnewhomeraffle.com would like to use your current location?"
A. Your current location is required to confirm eligibility. The raffle will only be offered throughout the State of Nevada (the "Raffle Area"). . The Charitable Raffle is void outside the raffle Area and where prohibited by law, rule, or regulation.
Q. What if I already selected "Don't Allow"?
A. Reloading the page should cause you to be prompted to share your location again. If you have specified that you never want to share your location, you will need to go into your settings to allow. See below for instructions.
Q. What if I receive the following prompt: "You must allow your browser to share your location to purchase tickets, Please click "OK" to reload this page, then be sure to allow your browser to share your location to share your location when prompted"?
A. The browser should reload the page and ask you to share location upon loading. Note: In some browsers, the popup may say "close" instead of "OK"
Q. I entered the incorrect email and did not print my tickets, how can I get my tickets resent?
A. Please go to the Contact page and request that the raffle Manager email you your tickets. You may be required to provide additional information to verify ticket purchases.
Q. What if I cannot purchase tickets on vegasnewhomeraffle.com due to Location issues?
A. You may have told your browser to never share your location. You need to change that setting to allow sale. Please see tips for doing this below.
